Ever since the British left Sri Lanka in 1948, the Sinhalese people govern their country and Implemented a lot of changes.
AMITHNAL RAHUL and his younger brother Diyon Ranuga were walking their way back home from their part time work as tea boys.
“ Boys! You are back just in time for my vegetable curry to be finish for dinner.” their mother Kalathma Subaja opening her hands to welcoming them back. “I know that you will like it.” she continued in a tempting speech.
“ We made 7 Ruppies today enough to pay for our school fees if we add the up with what we earn during the last three weeks.” RANUGA said excitedly
“ OK . Boys just go and get ready to eat dinner while I close the door.” replied their mother.
As the three of them sat around the food chanting their prayers they were interrupted by a phone call rang, . Their mother went to pick it up, it was their father Suvik Vinsadva.
As their mother put down the phone she said “ Your father would be coming back rather late as he needs to do double shifts.”
“ So what are you going to do when you get your O' level results back Rahul ?” Ranuga asked curiously.
“ Well I thought of going to Uva Wellassa University, which is one of the best university in Sri Lanka as my results are the top in the school, but my Sinhalese still needs to improve as it is needed in Sri Lanka now since the Official Language Act in 1956.” RAHUL replied while taking a sip of water. “But later after I graduate, I will find a high paying job to buy the dream house that mum always wanted , the car that dad always wanted and the toy you always wanted.” Rahul assured Ranuga
As the days go by Rahul got more eager and eager to see his results. Telling every body what he would do when he get it back.
“Mom, Mom, guess what I got back from school. It is my O' level slip and I got 3A2s, 2B3s and my Sinhalese got a B4” RAHUL came running back home waving a piece of paper.
At the very next day, Rahul went to the university to apply for the school administration. When he came back his face was in a glum state, as the whole family sat around the table Rahul explained “ The university said that I needed 4A1s and 2B3s to go in to the university and the university that accept me is the one that is nine kilometers away from home and is one of the worst university. And the Sinhalese who got lower than me got in.”
“ My forefathers came to Sri Lanka to get a better life and they have it, now look at us when the British left Ban Dara Non Ke took the government and made all this policies like the Resettlement policy in 1950s, the Sinhalese people move to our lands and took our fertile land and jobs away from us.” their father interrupted as he came through the door.
During the next few days Rahul work as a low paying cashier in a supermarket earning up to 32 ruppies a day. This continued until Ranuga also took his O' level but cannot enter the university due to the same reason as RAHUL.
They then heard about Kumaratanga recruiting people for the Tamil Tigers as group that has enough of the Sinhalese government and had taken arms to fight their way to freedom.
They both join and was thought how to fire weapons and military combat for their attack on the Sinhalese, as well as helping to recruit more Tamils for the Tamil Tigers, while waiting for the day to attack the Sinhalese people.
“The day is finally here, the rotten Sinhalese has always push us around, but not anymore today they will remembers us on 1983 when we the Tamils will stand up and fight for their freedom.” Rahul shouted to his troops shooting his fist into the air. “This is for our freedom, long live the Tamil tigers.” he continued.
“Long live Tamil Tigers! Long live Tamil Tigers!” went his Tamil troops punching their fist into the air.

Eng Journal ( singapore flyer )
When I went to the Singapore Flyer, my expectation of it was that it was just like a ferries wheel but bigger. I was told that we have to do our research for D and T, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. I just expect that the wheel would finish in about one hours time, and that the ride would be boring.
But when I reach there the view from the bottom of the Singapore flyer, awed me as to see a massive structure up close. They even have shops on all three floors, most of it were eateries. The large wheel of the flyer was moved by the smaller wheels at the bottom of it. The wheel carries twenty-eight capsules up to one hundred and fifty meters high. The structure was supported by to very huge and tall beams, which was then supported by twelve large steel cables at he bottom on each beam. Some of the of the Singapore attractions are able to be seen at the top of the flyer, like the Merlion, Marina Barrage, Esplanade, floating stadium, The IR ( integrated resort ), Fullerton Singapore and the New Bridge.
On the way up the air conditioned capsules that looks like a empty toilet roll, I saw all the Singapore attractions as on the worksheet that ask us to find it and put a tick on the box. During the flight, I felt that it was a very exciting as there were many things to see on board the capsule. We even took a picture of all of us standing at the door group together. My expectations of the flyer was met above my expectation as the flyer was spacious and air conditioned.
The picture that was taken was printed and given out to the whole class as a memorable, to remember it in the near future. The picture is now sitting in my photo album at home, so as not to damage it. I even laminated it.
The trip to the Singapore flyer is worth going, as it can be use for family time for the whole family together. Accept I still think that the capsules need vending machines for food and drinks as it gets rather thirsty and hungry in the capsule. I would recommend it to others as it will be a exciting place to be. In addition the eateries there provide the best of food.

Sri lanka draft 1
Ever since the British left Sri Lanka in 1948, the Sinhalese people govern their country and Implemented a lot of changes. Ban Dara Nan Ke the first governor of Sri lanka made the Ceylon Citizenship act in 1948 for the Sinhalese people only, leaving out the Tamils in Sri Lanka as they were not originally from Sri lanka. Followed by the Resettlement Policy, where the poor Sinhalese people where move to the northern and southern parts of Sri Lanka where most of the Tamils lived so as to dilute the Tamil population. The Tamils were not very happy with this as their land and citizenship were taken away from them.

During the next few days RAHUL work as a low paying cashier in a supermarket earning up to 32 ruppies a day. This continued until RANUGA also took his O' level but cannot enter the university due to the same reason as RAHUL.
Then they both heard from some men that they have a university for them to enter , and so they both entered the university. During their time in the university they join the Tamil United Liberation fount were taught how to us guns and military combat techniques as payment for their school fees. In 1983 the Tamil United Liberation fount change their name to Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and attack the local Sinhalese villagers to show their unhappiness to the Sinhalese better treatment.
What could have been done to prevent this civil war ? Could the British have treated both Tamils and Sinhalese equally when they colonies Sri Lanka ?
